Mitsuwa Marketplace

Today was such a nice day, so Anneke dragged me to a Japanese marketplace to look for the sake that we had at Yu-San Sushi Restaurant (see 02.02.08 blog). Well, we didn't find the sake, but instead, we found everything else we didn't need. We left happily with $60 worth of snacks, candy, chocolate, instant noodles, and cookies.
This place had a food court where I had a beef udon & Anneke had rice with pork katsu & egg. It was what you would expect from a food court, but it gave us energy to shop! Here are some of the highlights:
1) Potato chip Norishio ($1.69)--tastes like Lay's original, but with seaweed specks--tasty!
2) Fran Aromatier Rum & Vanilla Sticks ($2.99)--ummm chocolate + alcohol.

3) Wasabi/Seaweed Snack ($2.49)--OMG, sooooo good!!!! Deep fried pita chip (but thinner) with seaweed pressed on one side & infused with Wasabi (a lot of it!) A definate must try!

4) Asahi Mitsuya Cider Candy ($1.99)--Yummy candy that fizzles on your tongue.
5) Yama Moto-Yama Hot & Spicy Seaweed ($1.99)--Yum! I've tried a lot of these, but this brand is the crispiest & spiciest. I didn't realize that eating just 10 of them gave you 50% of your daily vitamin A, so yes please!

We will post more on the other products as we try them!
